- Welcome to the fourth installment in the 12 Inch 80s series, 12 Inch 80sPop. The series showcases the seminal 12 inch mixes of the era and this volume focuses on the quality end of the '80s Pop market, because as we all know, for every `Erasure' there's a `Bucks Fizz'. Cue then some huge hits in all their 12 inch glory from Wham, Spandau Ballet, The Human League, Bronski Beat (sampled recently by Supermode), Aha, Pet Shop Boys and Yazz. There are a number of so-called `cooler' hits too from Special AKA, MARRS, Paul Hardcastle and Fine Young Cannibals. Add to this the odd record you never see on compilations any more (that'll be Wang Chung) and the overall package is very strong. 40 tracks. Universal. 2007.
