Detailed notes
    - Sustainable tourism is a kind of approach to tourism meant to make the development of tourism ecologically supportable in the long term. The very importance of sustainable tourism lies in its motives to conserve the resources and increase the value of local culture and tradition. Büyükkonuk is the first declared pilot Eco-Agro tourism village on the island of Cyprus. Büyükkonuk which is the Eco-Agro tourism center has become a brand in this sense. The purpose of this study is to determine perception of the residents towards sustainable tourism according to their demographic characteristics in Büyükkonuk, North Cyprus. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) was employed for the purpose of data entry, manipulation, and analysis. Factor analysis was employed to reveal validity and reliability of items related to perception of sustainable tourism. This study can make significant contributions for better understanding of awareness in sustainable tourism. Research results indicate that perceptions of sustainable tourism vary based on their gender and education level.
