- Medical Telemetry is a way to transmit data electronically from one point to another. In a typical medical telemetry system
electrodes are used to record electronically the important medical data of a patient using specialised equipment. Usually the
electrocardiogram and the level of saturated oxygen in the blood are parameters of great importance. The collected data is
then transmitted to a remote location where it can be monitored by doctors, health specialists, or by nurses. This paper
describes the design of a microcontroller based medical telemetry system. The designed system has the advantage over the
existing systems that the data is transmitted using an Ethernet medium as opposed to radio frequency techniques.
