It is particularly vital for the hospitality industry with knowledge management playing a crucial role in achieving customer satisfaction, customer loyalty and ensuring repeat customers. This in turn creates a competitive advantage. The aim of this study has been to increase the awareness of knowledge management in the hospitality industry. The authors propose designing and implementing a seminar programme targeted at informing 5 Star hotel managers in North Cyprus on the necessity and utilization of customer knowledge.
